Semester Final Exam - Period 3
2. My View In Photography Website
4. My Favorite Blog Post
I chose my First Semester Final Project because I felt like everyone let out their inner selves and acted the way they really are. I am actually proud of these photos because I felt like I put a lot of time into them and wanted them be the way I saw it as I was taking the photo. This project brought us close as a group an we expressed ourselves and captured the moments that stood out to us, this is why this is my favorite blog post.

5. This is My Favorite Photo of the Semester
The reasons I chose this photo as my favorite out of the semester is because : of the way all three of my groups members were placed (by themselves without any directions) and they matched the shadow of the column (which is diagonal), they each had their different postures which was amazing in my perspective (Dante leaned out, Darnell leaned inward and Brittany leaned out and it was the best position), and I also liked the way the colors they were wearing stood out and contrasted with each other and the background or setting added a new look to the picture.
6. My BEST Photo From My First Semester
I chose this photo as my BEST photo because:- Of the way I captured her as she was jumping and the way she did it was amazing.
- The background fitted perfectly and added a new sense to the photo.
- When you are viewing this photo you just admire the scene and her jumping was a new experience to me, it just fascinates me.
7. The Advantages of Working in a Group
- When we work with other we can feed off each others comments of how something should be done.
- We help each other out when someone needs it, we look out for each other.
- We just have a good time with one another exploring new ways and ideas about Photography.
The Disadvantages of Working in a Group
- Sometimes we can become frustrated with each other because sometimes we all don't agree on the same thing.
- Often some people don't like to share the camera and just keep the camera to themselves.
- Also, we can get into arguments about who's working to slow.
8. The phrase from Life magazine founder is "Picture Perfect" he also had a magazine called The Year in Pictures.
9. Henri Cartier- Bresson knew his photos were good because the Head, Eye and Heart were aligned.

12. The project that would interest me 2nd semester would be the same subjects we did 1st semester but maybe we can be more independent.
13. Mr. Farley has a "Hecka Free Zone" because he doesn't like the use of the word.
First Semester Final Project
I chose this photo because I liked the way she went with the concept of the idea our group chose which is Fashion.
I chose this photo because of the way the colors contrast each other and Dante stands out with his shirt.
I chose this photo because the way three of my groups members are aligned diagonally makes it look unique and different.
I chose this photo because of the way the light reflects off her face and she looks like she's in a natural position and not posed.
I chose this photo because she matched the way the columns were and I saw that as a coincidence and she stands strongly.

Masters Photos : Philippe Halsman
Philippe Halsman life span was from May 2, 1906 - June 25, 1979. Philippe Halsman once lived in France and photographed for magazines like Vogue and had built up to the reputation and expectations of being one of the best portrait photographers in France and was known for his soft focus and closely cropping. His first success was when he came to America by cosmetics using his images that he photographed, then later on in his career numerous of his photographs have been published on the magazine covers of Life. One of Halsman's comment was, "When you ask a person to jump, his attention is mostly directed toward the act of jumping and the masks falls so that the real person appears." He had created a philosophy of jump photography and named it jumpology. The six rules Halsman used as a guidance for creating unusual pieces of work is: "the rule of the direct approach"
"the rule of the unusual technique"
"the rule of the added unusual feature"
"the rule of the missing feature"
"the rule of compounded features"
"the rule of the literal or ideographic method."
The way our group was inspired by Halsman's work is that he created a concept the was eye catching which is his "jumpology " method. His photography of jumping wasn't the only thing that captured our eyes it would have to be the unusual and creative objects that he incorporated into his photos. Also, the facial expressions the people he photographed was different.
